Maintenance Services
After the initial site/application development, CTB does not want your project to go unnoticed. CTB offers maintenance and updates beyond the initial development phase. Maintaining your site helps keep visitors engaged in your business. If there is something new, visitors are likely to return more frequently for the products and services your business provides. It is also important for search engines to see that a site is being attended to and being upgraded periodically. Not only does site maintenance keep visitors coming back; it also keeps search engines coming back to search for new information. This helps improve rankings on Google, Yahoo! and their affliates. For optimum results, maintenance is recommended on a monthly basis.
After a project is complete, there are several options available to CTB clients regarding ongoing maintenance. Some clients who are familiar with computer code may choose to use an Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) client to make changes and upload modified files to the site. Some of CTB's products include an administrative tool that enables the site to be edited by using an administrative login; often e-commerce sites, this administrative tool allows the addition of products available for consumer purchase.
If you don't want to deal with the additional time and energy required to keep a site up-to-date, CTB makes computer programmers available to aid with maintenance. Several different rates are available for monthly maintenance:
- Non-Contracted Maintenance. CTB can provide update/maintenance service for clients on an as-needed basis as well. Since the time cannot be reserved for programmers in advance, the tasks are worked into the daily workflow and completed as soon as feasible—not necessarily within 24-48 hours. These updates are completed at a Time & Materials hourly rate.
- Contracted Maintenance. Clients may retain the services of our technical staff for a pre-determined number of hours per month at a discounted hourly rate. Contracted hours may be used at the client's direction for programming services, website updates and maintenance work. For clients who choose this option, the goal of CTB program staff is to have the update completed within 24-48 hours, though more extensive updates may not be completed as quickly.
- Open-End Retainer. Clients may purchase discounted hours of service in blocks of 20. Hours must be purchased in advance of need, and may not be "held" for more than six months.

Troubleshooting
It happens sometimes that something happens and causes a website to go down for an unexplained reason. Sometimes, these are due to issues with hosting/support companies closing or with independently contracted computer programmers no longer being available to maintain or fix a problem in an emergency.
